- The most common, especially for middle adolescents is the
feeling of being left out or excluded, when, in reality this is not
the case.
- Another common one is that you or another sponsor do not like
them or are picking on them.
- Many think they are a lot more active than they really are.
They think that intending to be there should count.

Misperceptions by the youth
Youth perceive things based on their internal concerns and
situation. These may be badly skewed, but they are what they believe
and have to be recognized and, sometimes, dealt with, directly or
indirectly.
